 "It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth". Njideks Akunyili is the daughter of Dora Akunyili, who was the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008. German football legend Andreas Brehme is dead


German football legend, Andreas Brehme has sadly passed away aged 63 due to cardiac arrest 

Brehme who was the one that scored from the penalty spot to seal victory for West Germany against Argentina in the 1990 World Cup final, died overnight into Tuesday.

His partner, Susanne Schaefer said he died suddenly and unexpectedly in the night from a cardiac arrest.

His former club, Bayern Munich tweeted : “FC Bayern are extremely saddened by the sudden passing of Andreas Brehme. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Andreas Brehme will for ever be in our hearts, as a World Cup winner and, more importantly, as a very special person. He will forever be part of the FC Bayern family. Rest in peace, Andi!”
