 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. PRO unveils State Commandant's portrait ...


The Public Relations Officer ( PRO ), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Deputy Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin has once again avowed his team's unflinching commitment towards galvanizing updated skills, experience, creativity and knowledge gathered from privileged internal and external resourcefulness to building a greater image for the Command and Corps in general.


The PRO seized this privilege to commend the NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro for approving a maiden periodical re - orientation programme tagged, "Lagos NSCDC Public Relations Clinic." The Clinic aimed at deploying  technology to project the achievements of the command viz a viz its statutory mandates via monthly offline and online seminars with facilitators and participants from the Corps and across all sectors.


"The launch of this maiden event, which will birth the continuous periodic clinic is also expected to draw the attention of government, stakeholders and the good people of the state to have a deeper idea on the workings and functions of the Corps so as to make them mini security personnel in their own right," Keshinro said.


"Recall that training and retraining of personnel remains one of the focal vision of our amiable and erudite Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR," Keshinro said.


The PRO also unveiled the portrait of the Lagos State Commandant in his office with the Divisional Officer, Amuwo Odofin Division, Superintendents of Corps Adisa Adijat Adenike and Egeonu Chidi Caroline represented by her staff.
