 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police.  Nigeria Will Overcome All Challenges Soon - Adeboye


The General Overseer of the Redeemed  Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch  Adeboye has expressed confidence that sooner or later Nigeria will overcome the problems facing it.


He stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Uba Sani at government house Kaduna.


Pastor Adeboye noted that, the problems the nation was facing are more than political and it requires quite a bit of a spiritual solution.


He pointed out that Nigeria was blessed in the areas of resources and people with great intelligence and yet the nation had many problems confronting it.


"We as a country we are blessed, we are blessed with people with great intelligence, we are blessed of manners of resources and yet we have so many problems. Is not as seems people in authority are not trying their best, their doing as much as humanly possible to their address the problem"


"We find out when we you have problems that are beyond humans ability to solve them we call on the Almighty, the reason we call him the Almighty is because he has the power to solve all problems"


According to him, they had been going round the country to support the effort of all the various government and the parastatals, prayed Almighty God to bring urgent help for the country.


Pastor Adeboye maintained that all the nation problems would not last forever.


"Our rulers are doing their best to rule us to solve our problems, the problems seems to have persisted but we trust in Almighty God this problems will not last forever"


"That is why we have been going round holding crusade and the crusade is just a means of gathering people together to let them know that everything's will go alright if they can be little more patient, God is going to solve our problems.


"We believe very firmly that people needed this kind of encouragement so that not to lose hope" 


"Because when people lost hope they do all kinds of  things, many youths for example running out of the country" 


"We have been to some states Sir, it happens to be the turn of Kaduna State that is why we came yesterday then we will continue this evening but as we are praying for the people at the stadium, we felt is our duty to come meet with the governor and his government too"


Responding, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna described Pastor Enoch Adeboye as a person that really touched the lives of many that are too numerous to mention.


Governor Uba pointed out that, the nation was facing difficulties due to what happened in the past, stressing that, right now the nation has a  President who is determined, focused and ready to take the country to higher heights.


According to him, So far President Bola Tinubu has taken some important steps towards moving the country forward.


Malam Uba Sani solicited the support and prayers of pastor Adeboye for the State and the country at large for success.


The Pastor and his entourage offered Prayers for the success of Kaduna State government and the country at large at the council chamber of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House Kaduna.

Pastor Adeboye Calls For More prayers To End Nation's Problems 


General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has admonished Christians and Kaduna Government to pray for the betterment of the state and country from its current economic and security challenges. 


He gave the advice when he visited the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Uba Sani in his office.


Pastor Adeboye urged Governor Uba Sani not to relent in addressing all security issues bedeviling the state, noting that Kaduna is strategically connected to Eastern and Southern parts of the Country to the North.


In a remark, Governor Uba Sani thanked the cleric for the visit and pledged his continuous support for the Christian community to improve peace in the state.


The General Overseer visited the state for a crusade to pray for the nation.
