OREGON MON SENTENCED TO 30 DAYS IN JAIL FOR REFUSING TO LET HER DAUGHTER UNDEEGO MEDICAL TREATMENTS FOR CANCER AND INSTEAD TREATING HER WITH CBD OIL. (PHOTO).

Oregon mom sentenced to 30 days in jail for refusing to let her daughter undergo medical treatments for cancer and instead treating her with CBD oil.

I want to begin this article by stating her daughter, Kylie Dixon, now 18, is alive and currently cancer-free after a judge intervened and she received the required treatments for liver cancer. The judge ordered she undergo chemo, surgery to remove the tumor on her liver and follow up care.

39-year-old Christina Dixon was sentenced to 3 months in jail and supervised probation upon her release. She was being charged with custodial interference and criminal mistreatment.

These charges stem from a 2019 incident in which Dixon refused to let her 13-year-old daughter undergo treatment and surgery for a treatable cancerous tumor on her liver.

At that time, Dixon failed to show up for a scheduled surgery and stopped her daughter's chemotherapy after the third treatment.

Dixon fled to Las Vegas with her daughter to escape a court order to continue treatments. Once there she began CBD treatments on her daughter and claimed the teen did better on CBD.

Eventually Kylie was placed into protective custody and received the required treatments.  Her mother was arrested and a 5 year ordeal with the court system began.

Kylee's father Joe Dixon voiced his disappointment with the sentencing but was happy for the closure. The prosecuting attorneys were asking for 19 months, however the judge handed down the 90 day sentence largely because of Kylie's continued support for her mother.
