 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  RIVERS HIGH COURT RESTRAINS POLICE FROM ARRESTING EDISION EHIE 



A Rivers State High court sitting in Port Harcourt has issues a restraining order against the Nigerian police from arresting Rt Hon  Ehie Edison 


Rt. Hon. Ehie is the Chief of Staff of the Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara 


The presiding judge, Justice Sika Aprioku ruled that the pursuit of a case to arrest Rt, Hon Ehie was purely a politically motivated vendetta.


Justice Aprioku entertained the various presentations and arguments that were made by the Counsel for the applicant, D.O. Okoro, SAN, and C.M. Dickson, Esq. who represented the respondents.


The judge later ruled and dismissed the preliminary objection that was raised on the issue of jurisdiction because it lacked merit.


Justice Aprioku who said the respondents are restrained from arresting the applicant because the charges are only aimed at settling political scores, awarded the cost of One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) in favor of the applicant against the respondents.
