 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. ROOMMATE CHARGED FOR STRANGLING A FELLOW STUDENT IN KENTUCKY. (PHOTO).

 Kentucky: Campbellsville University student found "deceased from strangulation" in his dorm room. Fellow teammate on wrestling team charged.


18-year-old, Josiah Kilman, was found unresponsive  in his dorm room on Saturday. He was later pronounced deceased at Taylor regional hospital. After finding Kilman the school was placed on temporary lock down, however it was lifted later in the evening. 

Officials report Kilman died as a result of manual strangulation.  Police have now officially arrested 21-year-old Charles Escalera in connection with the death.  Escalera was a teammate of Kilman in the Campbellsville wrestling team.  Escalera is being held on suspicion of murder but is also interestingly charged with aiding or abetting in the manual strangulation of Kilman.


Police say they have not discovered a motive at this point. Escalera is being represented by a public defender and is scheduled for a hearing on March 6th.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
