 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. SENEGAL'S CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL HAS OVERTURNED PRESIDENT SALL'S DECISION TO POSTPONE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. (PHOTO).

Senegal's Constitutional Council has overturned President Sall's decision to postpone the presidential election, ruling it unlawful.


 The Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has called on stakeholders in Senegal's electoral process to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Council following a decision to overturn a bid by President Macky Sall to postpone the February 25 presidential election, ruling it unlawful.


"The Commission urges all stakeholders in the electoral process to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Council and calls on the competent authorities to set a date for the presidential election in accordance with the decision," ECOWAS said in a press release. 


Adding: "The Commission calls on the political class and all stakeholders to show restraint and give priority to inclusive dialogue to preserve the democratic gains of this model ECOWAS Member State."
