  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Support Tinubu To Overcome 8 Years Of 'Buhari’s Calamitous, Retrogressive Administration,' Northern CAN Tells Nigerians


The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has expressed its deep concern over the prevailing economic hardship and worsening security challenges across the country.


This is contained in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Elder Sunday Oibe and made available to journalists at the weekend.


The Northern CAN noted that the suffering in the country was becoming unbearable for ordinary Nigerians, adding that the high cost of foodstuffs, goods and services had made life difficult for many Nigerians.


The statement said, “The epileptic power supply has led to the collapse of many small businesses. The continued decline in the value of the Naira and the seeming inability of the government to address the situation has completely weakened the purchasing power of ordinary Nigerians.
