Texas man poses as child to lure and kill predator.

Authorities in Texas are alleging that 22-year-old James Spencer shot and killed 37-year-old Sean Showers in May of 2023.

Police are saying Spencer pretended to be a minor online to lure Showers to a specific location. They go on to say Showers approached a vehicle for the potential meet up with a minor when he was shot several times by the occupant. Showers was later found deceased in a ditch with multiple gunshot wounds.

Showers was a convicted sex offender.

Spencer has not entered a plea in the case yet.
