 CBN limits card issuing, merchant acquiring market share for financial institutions The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced new measures aimed at curbing market concentration in the country’s payments ecosystem, including limits on the market share operators can hold across card issuing and merchant acquiring services. Card issuing refers to the provision of payment cards to customers, while merchant acquiring involves processing card payments on behalf of businesses. In a circular signed by Rakiya Yusuf, director of the payments system supervision department, on Monday, the apex bank said the measures are aimed at addressing concerns over market concentration, operational dependence, systemic importance and the localisation of payment transaction data. THE CREEPY SIMILARITIES IN THE RECENT DEATHS OF TWO INDIANA WOMEN ONLY DAYS APART HAS LEFT MANY RESIDENTS CONCERNED. (PHOTO).

 The creepy similarities in the recent deaths of two Indiana women only days apart has left many residents concerned. 


Two Indianapolis women were recently found deceased by a local strip mall only days apart and within three minutes of each other. The similarities don't end there either. 


58-year-old, Shannon Lassere, was found outside of a local dentists office first on January 27th followed by 52-year-old, Mariannne Weis, less than a week later on Feb. 1st.


Police reported they both had died in the same violent manner but did not state the cause of death. However, family of Lassere alleged she had been stabbed. 


The police say there is no apparent link between the women but maintain they are, "taking proactive steps out of an abundance of caution." 


These awful homicides of 2 very similar women in a very similar manner only days and minutes away from one another have residents on edge and fearing the same thing I think we all are fearing. 


Our thoughts are with the families of both of these unfortunate victims as well as the community at large. Hopefully police can find them justice quickly.
