Nigerian Athlete, Tobi Amusan has set a new African womenās indoor record in 60 metres after finishing at 7.75 seconds at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.
Amusan retired the 7.77 record she had previously established in Kazakhstan at the Astana Indoor Meet in January with her 7.75 seconds run in Boston.
However, despite setting the new record, she came second in Boston, with Americaās Tia Jones finishing first in 7.72 seconds and Bahamaās Devynne Chalton finishing third with a time of 7.76 seconds.
Amusan had on January 27 in her opening race of the new athletic season, beaten the 7.82seconds African record set by fellow Nigerian Gloria Alozie.
