 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  UK Partner Nigeria To Boost Trade, Investment 

                  


The UK has signed an Enhanced Trade and Investment Partnership ETIP with Nigeria to boost trade and investment between the two countries and unlock new opportunities for UK and Nigerian businesses. 


UK Secretary of State Kemi Badenoch signed the ETIP alongside her Nigerian counterpart Nigerian Trade Minister Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite in Abuja. 


A statement by the British High Commission in Abuja explains that the Enhanced Trade and Investment Partnership ETIP is the first the UK signed with an African country and is designed to grow the UK and Nigeria’s already thriving trading relationship, which totalled 7 billion pounds. 


It states that the arrangement will pave the way for opportunities in sectors crucial to both economies such as finance and legal services as well as foster new collaborations in innovative areas like the creative industry. 


The visit by the Secretary of State comes a week ahead of a UK Government-led fashion and beauty trade delegation to Nigeria.
