 Tragedy in Lagos: Two Dead After Machete-Wielding Attacker Storms Lekki IMAX Cinema A horrific incident unfolded at the Filmhouse IMAX Cinema in the upscale Lekki area of Lagos State on Friday night, August 29, leaving two people dead following a violent confrontation with an armed intruder. Violent Confrontation at Cinema Entrance According to eyewitness accounts, a man armed with a machete and a knife attempted to force his way into the cinema premises. Onlookers reported that the assailant appeared to be highly intoxicated or under the influence of substances. When vigilant security personnel stationed at the entrance intercepted him to prevent entry, a violent scuffle ensued.  We must endure for a better future, says Seyi Tinubu


Seyi, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has encouraged Nigerians to put up with the current hardships in the nation, stating that the President’s decisions ought to have been made years ago.  

He also voiced hope that despite the current challenges, the nation’s future remains promising.

Seyi Tinubu made this known in a post on his Instagram page on Monday.

He wrote: “There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago.

“I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.”
