 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Wife Slaughters Husband In Niger State.


Newly wedded bride slaughtered her husband while he was sleeping in  Nassarawa village, Lapai, Niger State.


A 20-year-old Aisha Aliyu of Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, has reportedly killed her husband, Idris Ahmadu.


The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Monday February 12, 2024.


Multiple sources said the couple got married on December 31, 2023.


One of the sources said the couple had a little misunderstanding in the evening on Sunday, and they were reconciled before going to bed until midnight when the mother of the deceased heard him screaming.


“When the mother came out alongside other residents, they saw him in a pool of blood. He tried to run out of the room, but he fell on the doorstep. But up until now, we don’t know the whereabouts of his wife,” he said.


The source said the wife had first stabbed the husband in the chest before she eventually slaughtered him.
