 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. RCCG City of David parish excluded as family releases 6-day burial rites for Wigwe, wife, son


The family of the late Herbert Wigwe, the former group chief executive officer (GCEO) of Access Holdings Plc, has announced arrangements for his burial rites.

WIGWE'S FAMILY ANNOUNCES  FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS. 


The burial rites for Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and his son have been announced by the family.


A funeral ceremony for Wigwe, his wife, and his son is scheduled to commence on Monday, March 4, 2024.


They lost their lives in a helicopter accident in the United States a few weeks ago.


The former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, was also aboard the aircraft and among those killed in the incident.

The City of David parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God where the late Wigwes worshipped was conspicuously excluded from the burial programme after the senior pastor’s wife, Siju Iluyomade, held a talk of the town birthday party days after his demise. Many Nigerians have  argued that the cleric’s wife who was like a spiritual mother to the Wigwes should have postponed her birthday party due to the unfortunate incident.
