 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower.  2024 NAACP Image Awards: Burna Boy loses six awards


Nigerian singer Burna Boy continued his poor outing at award ceremonies as he lost six nominations at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards.

The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ lost the Outstanding Male Artist of the Year category to Usher. His song, ‘City Boys’ lost the gong for the Outstanding International Song to his compatriot, Tems’ ‘Me & U.’

Burna Boy’s ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ featuring 21 Savage lost the Outstanding Hip-hop/Rap Song category to Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Cobra,’ as well as Best Duo/Group Collaboration (Contemporary) to ‘Sensational’ by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay.

His album, ‘I Told Them…’ lost the Outstanding Album of the Year category to ‘Jaguar II’ by Victoria Monét.

Burna Boy lost seven nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-hop Awards, four nominations at the 2024 Grammys, and one nomination at the 2024 Brit Awards.

Meanwhile, ‘Sensational’ by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay which already won the Best Duo/Group Collaboration (Contemporary) on night one of the 55th Image Awards, won the Outstanding Visual Album/Song award on the second night.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
