 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  2027 is about Peter Obi, not LP – Kenneth Okonkwo


Nollywood actor and former spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo has said the crisis rocking the party would not affect Peter Obi if he decides to run for the presidency again in 2027.

He explained that politics is about the candidate and not the political party.

Speaking in a recent interview with Arise TV, Okonkwo said Peter Obi represents “a new Nigeria” regardless of any political platform he is contesting on.

He said, “2027 is about Peter Obi, not about Labour Party. Anybody who is bringing Peter Obi on the table, is bringing the new Nigeria, a new third force, absolute victory.

“When you come to elections, you take about candidates, not political parties. Peter Obi electrified Labour Party. He has no business to lose sleep over whatever is happening in any political party. How many months did he joined Labour Party? And he made what he made. People are loyal to his person. The new Nigeria is loyal to his people.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
