 LAWMA SEALS PREMISES ON AGO PALACE WAY, ARRESTS 11 DUMPERS ON LAGOS ISLAND … Intensifies Enforcement Against Illegal Waste Disposal In renewed enforcement efforts, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has sealed premises identified for persistent illegal waste dumping along Ago Palace Way and arrested 11 persons for illegal waste disposal in various parts of Lagos Island. The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said that the enforcement operations underscored the Authority’s resolve to enforce existing waste management regulations and ensure compliance with approved waste disposal practices across Lagos. He explained that the Ago Palace Way operation covered plazas, hotels, lounges and warehouses along the corridor, as part of efforts to tackle activities contributing to waste build-up and environmental nuisance on road setbacks, medians and other unauthorised public spaces.  12 year old girl suffers vaginal injuries and contracted STD after being repeatedly r@ped by three men in Imo


Detectives of the Imo State Police Command through painstaking and diligent investigations have arrested three suspects identified as Joseph Onyema, ’m’, 35 yrs, Uzoma Nwanoreze, ‘m’, 30yrs, and Eberechukwu Nwosu ‘m’ age 43yrs, for allegedly d€filing a 12-year-old girl (name withheld). 


Investigation by the police revealed that the suspects had unlawful c@rnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions which made her develop serious virginal injuries as well as a s£xually transmitted disease. 


The victim is currently receiving intense medical care at the hospital. The suspects will have their day in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.


Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Okoye Henry said the state Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma while condemning the barbaric acts in totality, calls on the well-meaning resident of Imo State to support the Police in the onslaught against defilement, rape, and other sexual related crimes in the State. He affirmed that such societal menace is utterly condemnable and perpetrators will be made to face the wrath of the law.
