Senator Cory Booker Sets Senate Record with 25-Hour Protest Speech Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey set a new Senate record by delivering a 25-hour, 4-minute speech in protest of President Trump, surpassing the previous 1957 record held by Senator Strom Thurmond. While not a filibuster, Booker's marathon speech disrupted Senate proceedings and highlighted concerns over the country's direction. He read constituent letters, shared stories, and discussed topics ranging from sports to poetry, all while remaining standing and foregoing bathroom breaks. Bookerā€™s speech symbolized resistance, drawing support from his Democratic colleagues. He also referenced his ancestry, noting both slave-owners and slaves in his lineage, and concluded the speech by attending to physical needs after the lengthy effort.

American rapper, Robert Rihmeek Williams, aka Meek Mill is considering relocating to Africa, particularly Ghana.

In a series of posts on his X handle, Nicki Minajā€™s estranged boyfriend lamented that he doesnā€™t feel safe in America anymore because of the escalating crimes and insecurity in the country.

He wrote, ā€œMake sure you strap up in America, itā€™s extremely dangerous on the streets! They have no control over illegal immigrants everywhereā€¦ automatic guns flooded the inner citiesā€¦ fettynal poison in most drugs ā€¦ opioids melting the brains of humans .. and algorithms mind control.

ā€œI wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America is made to tear black men down if you donā€™t follow orders!

ā€œAfrica donā€™t got this shit Iā€™m getting dual citizenship if they let me!ā€

Meek Millā€™s phone was stolen at a concert in Ghana in 2022.

The phone was later recovered by the Ghanaian police and returned to the singer.
