 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump.  Anthony Joshua to face winner of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk


World Boxing Council President, Mauricio Sulaiman, has said the organisation would “accept” Anthony Joshua going on to face the winner of the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship.


Fury and Usyk go head-to-head on May 18 in Saudi Arabia for all the belts.


The two boxers are expected to fight again in a rematch expected to take place later in the year.


Joshua will be waiting for the winner, after recording a devastating second-round knockout victory over former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, last weekend.


“The WBC was presented a sanction request which was to fight for the undisputed. The WBC accepted that sanctioning and we accepted the rematch they have requested,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports.


“But, if it is not anything to do with contractual or promotion, we would absolutely accept the winner to fight Joshua.


“The WBC position right now is very open to support the undisputed champion taking on the fights that the fans want to see.”
