Osinbajo has not left politics ~ Former aide, Akande. Mr Laolu Akande, a former spokesperson to ex-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, says there is no reason for anyone to assume that Osinbajo has left politics or resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC. Akande made this statement during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on Sunday in Lagos. Recall that Osinbajo has not been active in many political circles since leaving office in 2023, sparking speculations that he may have dumped the APC and politics.  Anthony Joshua to face winner of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk

World Boxing Council President, Mauricio Sulaiman, has said the organisation would “accept” Anthony Joshua going on to face the winner of the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Fury and Usyk go head-to-head on May 18 in Saudi Arabia for all the belts.

The two boxers are expected to fight again in a rematch expected to take place later in the year.

Joshua will be waiting for the winner, after recording a devastating second-round knockout victory over former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, last weekend.

“The WBC was presented a sanction request which was to fight for the undisputed. The WBC accepted that sanctioning and we accepted the rematch they have requested,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports.

“But, if it is not anything to do with contractual or promotion, we would absolutely accept the winner to fight Joshua.

“The WBC position right now is very open to support the undisputed champion taking on the fights that the fans want to see.”
