 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state. CALIFORNIA MOM CRASHES CAR INTO HOME IN DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO RESCUE HER CHILDREN FROM RAGING HOUSE FIRE. (PHOTOS).

 California mom crashes car into home in desperate attempt to rescue her children from raging house fire.


Fresno County FD responded to a home in Kingsburg to the call of a house fire. When they arrived on scene  the home was fully engulfed and the homeowner was ramming her vehicle into the side of the house. She was doing this in an attempt to create a hole to rescue her 2 small children. 


She was trying to save her 8-year-old boy and her 6-year-old girl both of whom family have confirmed were special needs.


According to reports, the fire began abruptly, separating the mother from her children. Mom suffered non life threatening burns to her hands and face attempting to reach the children.


She then ran outside and began ramming her car into the home before the fire department arrived.


Sadly, the 2 children were not able to be saved and they were recovered from the home deceased after the fire was extinguished. 


According to officials, fire crews had to deal with multiple propane and fuel tanks nearby as well as a live power line on the ground.


Our hearts go out to this mother and the unbelievable pain she and her family must be feeling.
