 Kidnappers Freed Us First: Teacher Reveals Dramatic Twist in Oyo Abduction Saga, Contradicting Presidency’s “Rescue” Claim In a startling revelation that challenges the official narrative, one of the teachers held captive for 56 days by kidnappers in Oyo State has claimed that he and fellow hostages were released by their abductors *before* security operatives arrived to escort them to safety. Zacchaeus Olatunde, a teacher among the victims abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area, made the disclosure during a telephone interview with Nigeria Info FM on Friday.  CP ADEGOKE INAUGURATES MONTHLY ROUNDTABLE MEETING WITH NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION 



The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni has inaugurated a monthly roundtable meeting with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).


The maiden edition of the meeting held today, March 14, 2024 at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja and had in attendance the management team and O/C Legal of the Police Command, Branch Chairmen of the NBA in Lagos State, and all Police Area Commanders.


CP Fayoade assured members of the NBA that the Command will continually play its part in ensuring that the goals for which the monthly roundtable meeting was initiated - strengthening the existing synergy and finding solutions to problems affecting both sides - are achieved.


Members of the NBA led by Idris K Thany Esq, Chairman of the Ikorodu Branch, while commending the Lagos State Command for the initiative gave assurances that the NBA would support the Police especially in her role in the criminal justice system. He equally assured the Command of the readiness of the Association to sanction any lawyer found engaging in unprofessional practices.
