  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. ELLIOTT COUNTY, KENTUCKY FIREFIGHTER DIES IN A CRASH WHILE TRAVELING TO ESCORT AN EMT WHO LOST HIS LIFE EARLIER IN THE DAY. (PHOTO).

 Elliot County, Kentucky firefighter sadly dies in a crash while traveling to escort an EMT who lost his life earlier in the day. 


Police say the firefighter was driving his firetruck Southbound on Route 504 Tuesday evening when he lost control and went over an embankment. He lost his life in the crash. 


He served with the 504 Volunteer Fire Department.  

There is no additional information on the identity of the firefighter or the circumstances and identity of the EMT he was heading to escort to the funeral home at the time of the accident.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
