 BENUE: GOV. ALIA ANNOUNCES PLANS TO HOLD SECURITY SUMMIT  12th April, 2025      |      9:04 PM The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has announced plans to hold Benue State Security Summit in his attempt to end insecurity in the state. Governor Alia made this known Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Government House Makurdi while interacting with the Advisory team sent by the Chief of Defence Staff to look into the security situation in the state. He said Benue State has faced increased attacks in recent times with a target on specific local government areas. "Benue has experienced increased attacks in recent times and those are mostly coming from very specific local governments, and the heat of it all is Kwande, Ukum, Katsina-ala, Logo, and Gwer-West. GOV. SANWO-OLU ANNOUNCED THE PASSING OF HIS EX SSA ON WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE, ABDULRAHEEM. (PHOTO). #ANNOUNCEMENT.


 I am deeply saddened by the passing of my former Senior Special Assistant on Works and Infrastructure, Abdulraheem Owokoniran. 


Abdulraheem was a young Nigerian politician with visionary ideas for nation building and development. He was a staunch party loyalist and a champion of programs aimed at benefiting the masses. 


My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues, including my Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe who is a brother to the deceased. 


Abdulraheemā€™s dedication to our party and his contributions to the growth of Lagos State will be dearly missed. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find the strength to cope with this loss.- Gov. Sanwo-Olu.
