 GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. HOUSTON FAMILY ATTACKS UBER DRIVER AFTER HE HITS AND KILLS 1-YEAR-OLD WHILE DROPPING FAMILY OFF. (PHOTO).

 Houston family attacks Uber driver after he hits and kills 1-year-old while dropping family off.


Harris County Sheriff's officials say that the Uber driver had just dropped the family off at an apartment complex in Houston. According to the surveillance video, the driver thought his path was clear and began to accelerate forward. Unfortunately the 1-year-old girl was walking alone in front of the car and due to her small size... he could not see her in front of his vehicle.


Sadly he struck her with the car and dragged her a short distance unfortunately killing the child. At this point in the video, you can see the family of the child begin to drag the driver from the car and physically assault him.


The child was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.


The sheriff's office referred to the incident as an unfortunate tragedy and we as parents or guardians need to be more alert, and hold their hands as we guide them away from a vehicle.


No charges have been filed in this incident.
