HOUSTON FAMILY ATTACKS UBER DRIVER AFTER HE HITS AND KILLS 1-YEAR-OLD WHILE DROPPING FAMILY OFF. (PHOTO).

 Houston family attacks Uber driver after he hits and kills 1-year-old while dropping family off.


Harris County Sheriff's officials say that the Uber driver had just dropped the family off at an apartment complex in Houston. According to the surveillance video, the driver thought his path was clear and began to accelerate forward. Unfortunately the 1-year-old girl was walking alone in front of the car and due to her small size... he could not see her in front of his vehicle.


Sadly he struck her with the car and dragged her a short distance unfortunately killing the child. At this point in the video, you can see the family of the child begin to drag the driver from the car and physically assault him.


The child was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.


The sheriff's office referred to the incident as an unfortunate tragedy and we as parents or guardians need to be more alert, and hold their hands as we guide them away from a vehicle.


No charges have been filed in this incident.
