Kentucky man flees while the jury was deliberating his attempted murder case.
If he would have stuck around he would have heard it was actually a hung jury. Now he's a wanted man. Again.
Vernon Jackson was being held in home incarceration via an ankle monitor. He was in the process of court proceedings for the charges of attempted murder in a Louisville courtroom.
After the trial concluded and the jury was deliberating a verdict in the case, Jackson decided he wasn't going to wait around to hear his fate.
Jackson cut off his ankle monitor and fled before the jury returned with a verdict. Ironically the jury could not reach a consensus and the trial ended in a hung jury.
However due to Jackson's rash decision to run, he has had a new arrest warrant issued and an additional $250,000 added to his bond.
Police recovered the ankle monitor but Jackson was nowhere to be found.
If you see Vernon Jackson or have any information on his whereabouts please call Louisville Metro PD at 1-502-574-7111
