With only seven points from six games, the Super Eagles are currently fourth in Group C, behind leaders South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic. Pressure has been mounting on Chelle, prompting him to travel to Europe in search of reinforcements to bolster the team's defense. However, the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team has reportedly led to a change of heart, with Chelle now considering terminating his contract.  LIFELESS BABY FOUND DUMPED BY UNKNOWN MOTHER IN GBOKO

A mother who is yet to be identified reportedly dumped a baby on the street of Gboko, Benue state.


At the time residence of the area discovered the baby, the baby was already dead. Attempt by the residents to save the baby’s life proved abortive.


An eyewitness familiar with the incident said the baby was dumped behind the stadium located in Gboko.


The source further stated that the mother must have dumped the baby in the night and walk away.


As at the time of this report, the remains of the baby have been evacuated from the area by security operatives.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha.
