 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Patrol Team Beats Man To Death Over Alleged Violation Of Curfew Order In Nassarawa Eggon

A patrol team enforcing the 10pm to 6am curfew in Nassarawa Eggon have beaten a mentally-unstable resident to death over alleged violation. 


The incident according to reports occurred on Sunday night after the deceased, Gabriel Bafu, allegedly violated the curfew order imposed by the council authority months ago as part of measures to tackle the lingering insecurity in the Area. 


A family source who also confirmed the incident said the curfew-enforcing patrol team beat him to stupor and dumped him at the entrance of the family residence where he later died. 


The corpse of the deceased has since been deposited at the mortuary and matter reported to the security.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
