 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Man Who Found, Returned Missing N100m Gets Hajj Slot, Cash, Bus

Salihu AbdulHadi Kankia, a member of the First Aid Group of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), was showered with rewards for returning a lost bag containing over N100 million.


The recognition came during the closing ceremony for Islamic scholars  presenting this year’s Ramadan Tafsir in Bauchi.


Engr Mustapha Imam Sitti, National Director of the First Aid Group who introduced Kankia commended him for the act.


In a post published on its Facebook page, the Bauchi State branch of JIBWIS said, “Kankia found a bag containing a large sum of money, exceeding one hundred million naira.


“Instead of keeping it for himself, he rushed to the police station and reported his discovery, the police successfully located the owner, who upon verifying the contents, confirmed nothing was missing.”


The post added that “Kankia’s honesty didn’t go unnoticed, The Izala group honored him with an award and sponsored his Hajj pilgrimage this year.


“Additionally, Hon. Abdulmalik Zannan Bangudu, a member of the Zamfara State Assembly, gifted him two million naira.


“Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State also presented Kankia with a bus to kickstart a business venture.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
