 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Nigerian swim coach leaves many impressed as he swims the entire length of Third Mainland Bridge


Nigerian man, Dare Akinrodoye, achieves a daring feat as he swims the entire length of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.


The swimmer who is popularly referred to as Coach Dreh took up the task to raise awareness for suicide and depression.


He admitted he was once depressed and would have committed suicide if he did not pick up an interest in swimming.


According to him, his choice location for the event was because most individuals who committed suicide publicly in Lagos usually jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge.


The event took place in Lagos, today the 30th of March and had many attendees as well as his medical team present to support him.


The Lagos state commissioner for youth and sports, Mobolaji Ogunlende was also in attendance to represent the state government and show their solidarity.


He swam the entire length of the bridge, which was a total of 11.8 kilometers, without stopping, completing the swim in 2 hours and 33 minutes.
