 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  PANIC IN EKITI AS HUMAN’S DEAD BODY FOUND IN UREJE RIVER


Panic on Saturday gripped the residents of Ureje, a suburb of Ado Ekiti metropolis, as residents woke up to see a lifeless body of a human being inside Ureje River.


Ureje River is located along Federal polytechnic and Afe Babalola University area of Ado Ekiti capital city and where the Ureje River has its bridge and main valley.


A witness, who has his company around the area, said the Friday evening’s torrential downpour that raised Ureje River’s water level watched the corpse down to the area


He said they have reported the incident at the Police Station at Odo Ado Area, while efforts were being intensified to contact the state government on the matter.


As at the time of filing this report, the dead body was still floating inside the water.


Also, the gender of the victim could not be ascertained.
