 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. PRESIDENT TINUBU MOURNS FORMER KADUNA ADMINISTRATOR, ALHAJI ABBAS DABO SAMBO 



President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sympathizes with the family of the administrator of Kaduna Capital Territory in the 1960s, Alhaji Abbas Dabo Sambo, whose life was defined by service and dedication to nation building. 


The President condoles with all the leaders in the northern part of the country and other zones, who were mentored by the administrator of the former capital of the Northern Region, with the strong values of integrity and diligence.


President Tinubu acknowledges the deep sense of patriotism Alhaji Sambo brought into the service of the fatherland, from an early age until his retirement, extolling his sacrifices and fidelity to the cause of a progressive nation.


The President prays that God Almighty will grant the soul of the departed leader eternal rest and comfort his family in this time of mourning.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
