 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police.  How my brother collapsed on a movie set” Sisi Quadri’s brother tearfully narrates how he died. The brother of late comic Yoruba actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji popularly known as Sisi Quadri, has opened up on his death.

In an interview, he narrated how his brother died just a year after his mother died. He recounted how they were called on February 19th that Sisi Quadri had collapsed on a movie set, so one of their brothers picked him up from there.


He revealed that a day before the news, Sisi had sent money for his mother’s one-year remembrance to build a well and had constructed a borehole last year in honor of her.


His brother disclosed that Qaudri was taken to the hospital and they treated him for malaria, but he was discharged on the 26th. According to his brother, he was preparing to go to another movie location when they all joined forces together to pressure him to rest and recover fully.


Sisi Quadri’s brother further disclosed that on February 28, the unfortunate happened as he started having uncontrollable hiccups, which made them rush him to the hospital. Unfortunately, all medical attention on him proved abortive and he was transferred to LAUTECH, where he gave up the ghost.
