 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  Some so called Senior Senators here got 500M Naira each from the 2024 Budget''- Senator Jarigbe makes starling revelation


The Senate plenary was further thrown into confusion today March 12, after Senator Ayom Jarigbe made a startling revelation. 

 

The lawmakers were deliberating on the recent allegation made by Senator Ningi made about the 2024 budget being padded when Jarigbe alleged that each Senator, especially the ‘’Senior Senators' received N500 million each from the 2024 budget. 

 

“We are going front and back on this issues concerning what came to our constituencies. If we want to go into those issues, all of us are culpable. Some so called Senior Senators here got 500M Naira each from the 2024 Budget, I am a ranking Senator, I didn’t get anything. Did I go to the press? Most of you got. No Senator has a right to accuse Senator Ningi.” - Senator Jarigbe said before his microphone was muted 

 

His other colleagues raised their voices in protest and objection to his claim.
