 GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. UCL: ENYEAMA NAMED AMONG FOUR RECORD- MAKING GOALKEEPERS. (PHOTO).

UCL: Enyeama named among four record-making goalkeepers


Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has been recognised by UEFA as one of the four goalkeepers to have scored a goal in the history of the Champions League.


According to a post on UEFA’s official website, Ivan Provedel, Sinan Bolat and Hans-Jorg Butt are the other goalkeepers who achieved the feat.


Enyeama joined the exclusive list when he converted from the spot in Israeli club, Hapoel Tel Aviv’s 3-1 defeat to Olympic Lyon of France on September 9, 2010.


The shot stopper later moved to Ligue 1 club, Lille where he also enjoyed a stellar career.


Butt converted three penalties for Hamburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich in the Champions League during his active days.


Bolat and Provedel, like Enyeama, scored one goal each from the spot.
