 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  VP SHETTIMA TO DECLARE OPEN EXPANDED NATIONAL MSMEs BUSINESS CLINICS, INAUGURATE FASHION HUB, ADIRE SHARED FACILITY IN OGUN TUESDAY


Vice President Kashim Shettima will on Tuesday March 5, 2024 in the course of his one-day visit to Ogun State declare open the Expanded National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Business Clinics which holds at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.


The Expanded National MSMEs Business Clinic which is an initiative of the Federal Government executed in collaboration with State governments is geared towards providing lasting solutions to the challenges hindering the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), help MSMEs have access to capital, formalize their businesses and also exhibit their products among others.


The Clinic would afford small business owners the opportunity to meet regulatory bodies like the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and others as well as feature grant presentations to qualified MSMEs.


The Vice President would also inaugurate the Fashion Hub project at the Old OGTV auditorium where over 150 state-of-the-art tailoring equipment have been provided for stakeholders in the fashion industry as well as the Adire shared facility at Asero, Abeokuta.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
