 Shehu Sani Accuses Past Administration Of Auctioning L.E.A Primary School In Kaduna To Build Showroom, Backs Gov Uba Sani's Halt On Sale Of School Lands Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani, has backed Governor Uba Sani’s revocation of sales of houses within the legacy public schools in Kaduna State. Shehu Sani stated that the previous administration auctioned a whole L.E.A primary school inside Kaduna to a businessman to build his showroom. Recall that Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, had revoked previous sales of institutional houses and land allocations within Alhuda-huda College, Zaria, Queen Amina College, Kaduna and Government Commercial College, Zaria.  Wanted fake soldier arrested in Lagos


The Police Command in Lagos State says it has arrested a suspected fake soldier, who had been declared wanted by the military.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, said the suspect was arrested on Saturday at about 3.00 p.m. in Ijegun area of Lagos.

Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested during a routine visibility patrol by the Ijegun Police Division along Fagbile Estate, Ijegun, in Sherin Oshun.

He said the patrol team arrested the man with the name of a Sergeant Major (other names withheld), full military uniform, allegedly used for impersonation.

“We immediately sent for the military Guard Commander, guiding the pipeline in Ijeododo, to come and identify the suspect.

“The military confirmed that he was a fake soldier. On interrogation, the suspect confirmed the crime of impersonation.

“The military confirmed that he has been on its wanted list. The suspect will be charged to court on completion of investigation,” he said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
