Onana dropped from Man Utd squad to face Newcastle Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been left out of Sunday's Premier League game at Newcastle. Onana was at fault for both Lyon goals in his side's 2-2 draw in the Europa League on Thursday - a day after he had been called "one of the worst goalkeepers" in United's history by former Red Devils player Nemanja Matic. Sources confirmed Onana has been omitted from Ruben Amorim's squad for the game at St James' Park to allow the Cameroon international to "rest and disconnect". It is expected he will be in contention to face Lyon in the return leg of the quarter-final tie at Old Trafford on Thursday and has been assured the change is not regarded as permanent. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe will miss Sunday's match after he was admitted to hospital having "felt unwell for a number of days", the club has said.

WE HAVE BEEN LIBERATED - FUBARA

Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara says there is a renewed sense of liberty expressed by the people.

They do with their organic support to his administration with their weekly organisation of thanksgiving ceremony rotationally, ongoing in the 12 Local Government Areas.

Governor Fubara emphasised that this was possible because his preaching on the impotence of peace, the tenable sacrifices that he make and efforts at promoting emboldened the people.

The governor Fubara spoke in Okrika at the special honour ceremony for the amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Ateke Tom.

Organised by the Okrika Council of Chiefs and the people of Okrika, the event held at the Okrika National School field on Saturday.

The governor said the peace was the anchor on which every development is hinged.

Governor Fubara states that nobody can ever get the best out of himself or from the society without a measure of peace.

"If you love your State, you will not be any part of anything that will bring destruction to it.

"It doesnt matter who the person is. That is what people should understand.

"And for those of us who chose the peace it is not because we are weak but because we know and value this State.

"Whatever achievement that has been recorded by the previous administration, it is important that we sustain it. And  that the reason why we toe the path of peace."

"Look at what is happening in the 23 local government areas in the State. I am not asking anybody to go around to do thanksgiving as some of you might be thinking.

"These are people who wake up in the morning and say, I have, we have been liberated. We want to tell people that we exist.

"And everyday you're seeing the numbers this is not artificial, this is organic support and why are we getting it, it is because of peace  that we stand for."

Governor Fubara berated Chukwuemeka Woke, a commissioner serving in his cabinet, who at a public event, challenged that the Fubara administration has not achieved any development project.

The governor warned public leaders not to talk carelessly because they will be accountable to what they say, good or bad.

Governor Fubara said he was not a noise maker but a prudent leader and his achievements are well documented, which will be displayed publicly at the appropriate time.

To the Okrika people, governor Fubara promised that his administration will commence reconstruction work on Isaka Community Landing Jetty and complete it.

He also assured of activating the sandfilling project that was abandoned in the area.

Governor Fubara pronounced the upgrade, from second class status to a first class status, the traditional stool upon which King Ateke Tom sits.

In his welcome address, former federal minister of transport, Chief Abiye Sekibo said the Wakirike nation were celebrating one of their own, King Ateke Tom, who had contributed to the prevailing peace in its various communities and Niger Delta.

Chief Sekibo who extended the congratulation of the people to governor Fubara over his electoral victory, commended him for his decision to ensure the reign of peace and assured that Wakirike Be Se will continue to support his administration into his second tenure.

The amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Ateke Tom was bestowed the honour of Be Se Poku by the apex body of traditional rulers and the people of Okrika.
