 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. A 41-year old man, James Okuwe Uwoezi, has died after his wife allegedly committed adultery.


It was gathered that among the Okuwe, Okpara Community & Ikibo of Uzih Community both of Irri Kingdom, Isoko South LGA Delta State, it is a taboo and sacrilege for a married woman to commit adultery. The consequence is the death of the man if no sanctification is carried out.


An indigene of the area who pleaded anonymity said: “A marked woman in our area is not permitted to have extra marital affairs. But if the woman cheats on her husband and the man finds out without doing some traditional rituals, he would die.”


An obituary notice signed by Kelvin Iribo and Double Chief Atanoma Odhowho read: Fear woman: The Adulterous wife.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
