 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Wizkid denounces being an afrobeats singer, hints on new album title


Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has denounced being an Afrobeat artist.

In a series of posts on his Instagram story, while announcing his new album, titled ‘Morayo’, Wizkid cautioned Nigerians against categorising him as an Afrobeat artist as he also warns bloggers against posting his new album.

Wizkid further read the riot acts as he informed those who fell in love with him during the Pakurumo era to refrain from downloading his new album.

For those who love Afrobeat, he also told them not to download his album.

He said: “Album done! See you soon b!tches! Lion richer than u niggas lol And pls abeg if u like Pakurumo Wizkid don’t download this new album. In fact, delete me from your playlist and your life! And if you like Afrobeat pls don’t download my album!

“I am not a f3cking Afrobeat artiste! Don’t call me that hoe! I am not Afro anything b!tch! Album named “oMoaya” best ever made! Now everybody fuck off! 1 more all u Naija blogs or media don’t post my shit when it drops! Una papa!.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
