 Trump administration halts border wall well drilling in New Mexico after ranchers raise water concerns  The Trump administration has ordered contractors building a border wall in New Mexico to stop drilling new wells after ranchers raised concerns that groundwater pumping for construction could worsen drought conditions and threaten their livestock. The move comes as crews work to expand border barriers across four states as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. The project has received billions in federal funding and has faced criticism from residents, environmental groups and local officials over various impacts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees construction, has said water is needed for concrete production, road construction and controlling dust. A MAN ARRESTED AFTER HE BOUGHT FUEL AND ZOOMED OFF WITHOUT PAYING IN LAGOS. (PHOTO).

 Enyi Emmanuel went to a filling station at Ile Zik in a Sienna, filled his kegs with diesel worth N120,000 and asked the attendant to go get the POS terminal. He then zoomed off. Alarm was raised. 


He abandoned the vehicle and ran away upon sighting a police patrol team on Airport Road, Ikeja. Vehicle and diesel were recovered while investigation led to the arrest of the suspect. He confessed to have succeeded with this modus operandi many times. Prosecution follows.
