LagFerry Boat Catches Fire on Lagos Waterways, Passengers Injured A LagFerry boat, Igbega Eko, caught fire while en route to Victoria Island, injuring four passengers. The incident occurred at around 6:45 AM at Ipakodo Ferry Terminal, Ikorodu. Passengers scrambled for safety as the boat suddenly exploded and caught fire. The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) responded swiftly. LASWA confirmed that the fire was quickly contained, with four passengers sustaining minor injuries and receiving medical attention. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. LASWA assured the public that safety measures are in place, and ferry operations continue as scheduled. Watch video below.

 *Anambra Joint Security Force Extend Manhunt for Unknown Gunmen to Ogbaru Forest, Recovers 9 Home Made Bombs, 4 Walkie Talkie.*


Anambra State Joint Security Force on Friday, 5th April 2024, extended  its manhunt for  criminals attacking security formations in the State to Ogbaru forest.


 Locations around Amiyi and Ochuche were combed for the insurgents. Troops of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy lent considerable firepower to the operation which  completely routed the hoodlums from their hideouts in the forest.


Several camps were found and destroyed during the operation which lasted several hours.


Nine Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) recovered from the camps were safely defused by Police Bomb Squad.


The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye commended the Military for its steadfastness in supporting the fight against criminality.


He also thanked the DSS, NSCDC, NDLEA, NIS and various Vigilante Groups across the State for the wonderful synergy that is yielding fantastic results in keeping Anambra State Safe.


The Commissioner of Police also warned cultists running amok in the State Capital to be aware that their days are numbered. He warned that secutity will not fold its hands and watch them destabilize the State in the name of cult rivalry leading to fatalities.
