 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Anambra Police Commissioner, Adeoye Bows Out After 35 Years Meritorious Service To Nigeria

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Aderemi Adeoye, has bowed out of Nigeria Police Force after thirty-five years of service.


The ceremony attracted Governor Chukwuma Soludo represented by his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, former Chairman Police Service Commission, Chief Simon Okeke, service commanders, traditional rulers, members of Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) and other stakeholders.


Speaking at the Pull-out Ceremony, the Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo extolled CP Adeoye for his love towards fighting for the vulnerable women and children in the state and prayed God to continue to protect his family for the work he has done. 


The Women Affairs boss who teased the CP to approve pending cases from her ministry before finally bowing out of office noted that she's confident that he will uphold the legacy and fight for the vulnerable anywhere he finds himself.


Earlier, a pull-out parade was held in his honour at Alex Ekwueme Square Awka in line with police tradition while the Pull-out ceremony took place at International Conference Center Awka.
