 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements.  Anambra Police Commissioner  Confers With Dike Ochioha 1 Of Ogbunka Kingdom

The outgoing Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Anambra community.


The chieftaincy title, Dike Ochioha 1 was bestowed on him by the Traditional Ruler of Ogbunka Kingdom in Orumba South LGA of Anambra State, HRH Igwe J.M. Anyaoha following the approval of Anambra State Government for the conferment of Chieftaincy title on the Commissioner.


The event which held on Sunday, April 28, equally witnessed the conferment of Ada Eji Ejemba 1 on the commissioner’s wife, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye.


Recall that CP Aderemi will be retiring from Nigeria Police Force on May 1 this year, having served in the Force for 35 years and  several activities have been lined up to mark his official disengagement from Service, part of which was the Pull Out Parade held in his honour at the Alex Ekwueme Square over the weekend.
