OVER 25 MILLION PHONES STOLEN IN ONE YEAR- FG. (PHOTO).

 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. ARMED AND DANGEROUS MAN BEING SOUGHT IN CONNECTION TO A MURDER. (PHOTO).



 Armed and dangerous man being sought in connection to a murder. 


The press release includes that he is a former police officer because officers believe it should be known he is well-trained with the weapons he is reportedly carrying right now. 


Police in Mississippi are searching for 33-year-old Marcus Johnson. He is being sought in connection to the murder of 25-year-old Carlos Collins.


Carlos Collins was found deceased at the Tapestry North Ridge Apartments early this (Tuesday) morning as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Carlos was a local nurse and his family says he had filed multiple restraining orders against Johnson.


Johnson is wanted for murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He served as a Jackson Police officer in 2013 before resigning to avoid disciplinary actions. He was an officer for 8 months. This information is added as simply background information.


Police say he is considered, "armed and very dangerous at this point." He is well trained with firearms due to his former employment as a police officer.

There is a Facebook post that Marcus's friend posted on Facebook today. There are shocking details in the post. The details have not been shared or confirmed by police. The post stated that an axe was used. Carlos's family has responded and said that an ax was used but they are not certain how many times. They do not want the Facebook post shared anymore.
