 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming.  Ruthless Arsenal inflict heaviest season defeat on Chelsea


Ruthless Arsenal inflicted the heaviest defeat on Chelsea this season at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday to hold on to top spot in the premier league.

The Gunners demolished Chelsea 5-0 in a five-star performance, converting five of their 10 shots on target.

Arsenal opened the scoring four minutes into the game. Declan Rice played a pass to the feet of Leandro Trossard, and he shot into the bottom left corner from inside the box.

Few minutes into the second half, Arsenal doubled their lead. Ben White fired the rebound into the bottom left corner after the ball broke to him in the box.

In the 57th minute, Martin Odegaard slipped a clever pass through to Kai Havertz, who moved inside the box and sent a measured shot beyond the keeper and into the roof of the net to make it 3-0.

In the 68th minute, Bukayo Saka passed the ball into the penalty area. Havertz collected it and quickly sent it into the bottom right corner via the post for the fourth goal.

Arsenal completed their humiliation of Chelsea five minutes later. Ben White showed good composure inside the box to fire a first-time shot into the top left corner to make it 5-0.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
