 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

DAVIDO SAYS HE NO LONGER COMMUNICATS WITH WIZKID AND BURNA BOY IN RECENT INTERVIEW. (PHOTO).

 Davido says he no longer communicates with Wizkid and Burna Boy in recent interview


Many Nigerians have lost hope of a budding friendship between Afrobeats superstars as Davido states that he doesn’t talk to Wizkid or Burna Boy anymore.


The singer made this public in an interview with Shade 45 recently, where he shared the update on his friendship with them.


Davido is currently in New York City to perform at the BET Experience alongside Cardi B and other famous musicians.


In an interview while touring the city, he was asked if he communicates with Burna Boy and Wizkid as the trio is famous for putting Nigeria on the map with their songs.


Davido confessed that they no longer relate to each other, and even though they have each other’s phone numbers, they don’t speak.


He stated that they all grew up from different parts of Nigeria and were all content with their current relationship as it would always be love between them.


Recall that recently, despite news of the online beef between him and Burna Boy, Davido broke the internet as he rekindled his lost friendship with Wizkid.


However, it seems like the flame of that brotherhood has once again been dimmed.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
