  Viola Davis Rejects Target’s Apology Over “Blackface” Halloween Costume Viola Davis has rejected Target’s apology after the retailer pulled a controversial kids’ Halloween costume that critics said evoked racist minstrel and blackface imagery. Target removed the $25 "Kids' Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown" costume from its Hyde and EEK! Boutique line after backlash over the design’s exaggerated features, which many linked to Jim Crow-era minstrel and blackface tropes. The retailer took down the item and issued an apology, saying they “got this wrong” and acknowledging the deep hurt caused to Black customers and employees. Davis, however, turned down the apology.  Emirates Airline to resume Nigeria flights in June, says Keyamo


The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, said Emirates Airline will resume operations in Nigeria on or before June 2024.


Keyamo disclosed this when he featured on Arise Television on Monday.


The minister noted that President Bola Tinubu played a significant role in resolving the frosty relations between the two countries.


According to the minister, the Nigerian government and the United Arab Emirates have resolved issues, and the airline is set to announce the date for its first flight.
