 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.  ‘Fool at 40’: Venita reacts, throws jab at Veeiye


Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Venita Akpofure, has responded to an alleged shade from her colleague, Veeiye, after being labeled as a ‘fool at 40.’ 

The disagreement began when Venita endorsed a disparaging tweet directed at Vee, shortly after Vee shared a glimpse of her undisclosed romantic partner, hinting at a new relationship. 

Recall that Vee faced accusations for flaunting a sneak peek of her newfound man as a response to a charming snapshot of her former boyfriend, Neo Akpofure, alongside his new girlfriend, Beauty.

Responding to the ‘fool at 40’ jab, the mother of two took to her X platform to address Vee, urging her to let bygones be bygones.

She wrote: “I’m not Jesus. I cannot perform miracles and I cannot raise Lazarus from the dead. Namaste. The past should stay exactly where it belongs…in the very stiff back.”
