 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  GOV. ALIA SUSPENDS ALL PAGEANTRY ACTIVITIES IN BENUE



The state government and commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism through the office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Entertainment and Cultural Affairs has announced the suspension of all pageantry-related activities in the entertainment industry in the state till further notice.


This is to enable the government look into crisis in this area of entertainment and consult with all the relevant stakeholders within the pageantry business on possible ways of recreating, rebranding and regulating every activity of the entertainment business for the good of all.


Pageantry as a business and part of entertainment in the state has lost its beauty and relevance due to numerous events lacking in content,quality and standard. These and many more shall be addressed to make the business more impactful,lucrative and attractive to those willing to invest in this aspect of entertainment.


The public and everyone concerned are by this information advised to comply accordingly.


Anyone who disregards this notice shall be made to face the full wrath of the law.
